Residence Halls

Hansen-Willis Hall

Hansen Willis in the Fall Semester

Hansen-Willis is one of the most popular halls on campus.

Built in 1999, Hansen-Willis houses 108 students on three co-ed wellness living floors. This hall offers four person suites and single person rooms. The suites feature a large living room, two bedrooms and full private bathroom. When Hansen-Willis was designed and built, student input resulted in wider hallways, carpeted rooms, air conditioning, and French doors that look out onto the Snyder Green, or the Hansen-Willis courtyard. Hansen-Willis also offers several large lounges with televisions, foosball tables, ping pong, and plenty of space to hang out. Each floor offers private/group study rooms, and the first floor also has a community kitchen. Laundry facilities are located on the second floor, making the laundry only one floor away for all of Hansen-Willis' residents. Located a short walk from the University Center, Tobey-Kendel Dining Hall, and the central campus academic buildings, many students enjoy the convenience of living in Hansen-Willis.

Hansen-Willis is the home of the front desk for Central Coalition, a group of residence halls on Central Campus, the front desk is staffed 24 hours a day and available for students to get change, pick up packages, and check out equipment. Central Coalition includes Belford, Decker, Gordon, Hansen-Willis, Sabin, and Snyder Halls. Students wanting to get involved in the Central Coalition community can be part of Community Council.

“I love living in Central Coalition (CC) because of the feeling of home.  Due to the fact that our buildings hold fewer students I feel like it is easier for residents to get to know each other and to develop true and lasting relationships.  I have lived in CC for three years now and I have come to feel as though it is my home.  I love being able to see people I know no matter which building I go in to.  It seems like CC is also more inclined to have residents who are involved living here.  I think this statistic is greatly increased by the fact that we have some of the most amazing staff members.  The resident assistants and professional staff really seem to care about the buildings and the people that live within them.  I have always felt as though I have every aspect of family that I need in CC.”

Whitnei Stanton, Central Coalition Resident

“I enjoy living in CC because it's a tight community. People know people in different buildings, and it's almost like living in a small village. I wouldn't trade it for anything.”

Brenna Barros, Central Coalition Resident
