Belford Hall
Belford Hall is home to 52 students that live in double and single rooms in this building. Each room in Belford features a sink and vanity
area, air-conditioning, and is carpeted. Belford has community bathrooms and showers on each floor. Just a short walk away from the Central Campus academic buildings and across the courtyard from the Dining Hall, Belford Hall is a convienent choice for many students. In Fall 2009, the all-women's community will be moving to Sabin Hall and the CUMBRES community will then use this building for students that are earning bi-lingual education or teaching English as a second language degrees.
Built in conjunction
with Gordon Hall and Decker Hall in 1921, and renovated in 1999 Belford is part of the beautiful Central Campus historic district. The first floor has a community kitchen, and two large lounges that students typically use for socializing and studying. The basement features two additional lounges with more space for studying or watching television, there is also a foosball table and laundry facilities.
Belford is part of Central Coalition, a group of residence halls on Central Campus that share the front desk at Hansen-Willis Hall. Central Coalition includes Belford, Decker, Gordon, Hansen-Willis, Sabin, and Snyder Halls. Students that want to get involved in the Central Coalition community can be part of Community Council.
