Lead On Leadership Camp
"There is not another leadership program that I have encountered that gives students the opportunity to tune into campus and get that vital head start like Lead On does. It was what inspired me to get involved and really make UNC my home and in the end truly saved me as a student. I love Lead On nearly as much as I love UNC and let me tell you, that's a lot!!!"-Danielle White
Embrace your new experience, Lead On!
Learn
Over the course of the camp students will gain
practical leadership skills that will help you succeed at UNC.
Grow
Students will engage in a variety of experiences that enhance interactions
with others, explore leadership potential, and achieve personal, emotional,
and cognitive confidence on campus.
Connect & Explore
Students will be introduced to various opportunities to get involved
with campus organizations and departments.
Inspire
Most Lead On students tell us the camp was amazing! They had the advantage
of meeting others, during a time of anxiety. The camp allowed them to adjust to
their new environment and move forward with campus life.
Purpose:
Our camp targets over 100 freshmen students, spread throughout campus. Students apply for the Lead On Camp and the top 100 are invited to campus four days prior to the opening of the residence halls to participate in workshops on leadership & academic success (Sample Schedule from last year), and to have systematic exposure to the primary involvement opportunities on campus.
